Anastacia Sterling
After 4 years of full-time study at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine, I graduated in 2007 with a degree in Osteopathy and a diploma in Naturopathy. In 2018, I completed a Paediatric Osteopathy course, enabling me to provide holistic osteopathic care to individuals of all ages. I am very comfortable working structurally to address various musculoskeletal problems.
My approach focuses on treating the whole person, not just the symptoms, and I will collaborate with you to create a personalised osteopathy treatment plan that caters to your unique needs. I will use various methods and techniques to get you back to good health such as: mobilisations, massage, Muscular Energy Techniques, joint manipulation and acupuncture.

Osteopaths provide holistic osteopathic care for a wide range of musculoskeletal problems, including back and neck pain, arthritis-related discomfort, minor sports injuries, and postural issues, especially during pregnancy. They are trained to identify conditions that require different approaches, and in some cases, a referral to your GP or hospital may be necessary. If you're unsure about your situation, don't hesitate to make a phone call to discuss your needs regarding osteopathy treatment.
What to expect when you visit an osteopath
You will be welcomed into my home, where you will experience holistic osteopathic care. Once you feel comfortable, I will ask questions about your health and lifestyle in relation to the musculoskeletal problems that prompted you to seek treatment. Following this, I will conduct a thorough physical assessment. Please wear shorts or cycling shorts and a t-shirt underneath your clothing to ensure you feel comfortable with the level of exposure. You will be asked to perform specific physical movements to aid the assessment, and I will likely perform a manual assessment of various areas, obtaining your consent beforehand. Throughout our session, we will discuss the findings, and if osteopathy treatment is appropriate, we will collaboratively determine the best way forward. More appointments may be advised following the initial consultation.
